Halloween is almost here, and we're excited to see all the creative costumes our students come up with!

As you help your child choose a costume, we ask that you keep our school values of respect, inclusion, and safety in mind. Halloween is a fun opportunity for students to express themselves, and we want to ensure that everyone feels welcome and comfortable while celebrating together.

When selecting a costume, please consider the following:

• Avoid costumes that promote stereotypes or stigmas related to race, culture, religion, current events, or gender.
• Choose costumes that are respectful and unlikely to offend others.
• Be mindful of cultural appropriation and ensure costumes are culturally appropriate.

For safety reasons:

• Full-face masks are not permitted at school, as staff need to be able to recognize all students.
• Please leave costume accessories that resemble weapons at home.

Thank you for your support in helping us create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable Halloween celebration for everyone at ḰELSET!

We look forward to a fun day of costumes, learning, and community spirit.
