In celebration of Family Literacy Day on Monday, January 27th, KELSET is excited to invite parents, guardians, grandparents, and family members to join us for a special reading event from 8:40 - 9:00 am.

To make parking easier, we encourage walking, biking, or carpooling to the school. Once you arrive, accompany your child to their classroom to read together. For Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, and 3 students, you have the option to bring a flashlight and enjoy reading in the dark gym – a fun twist on the event! Please note, students must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the gym reading, and they must check in with their teacher for attendance before heading to the gym.

There will be books available in the classrooms for everyone to enjoy, but you’re welcome to bring a favourite book from home as well.

If you’re unable to attend, don’t worry! Some of our older students will be reading with younger students, as we are all part of the KELSET family.
