Family Literacy Day is Saturday, January 27!

To celebrate, KELSET invites parents, guardians, grandparents, and family members to come read with students from 8:40 - 9:00am on Friday, January 26. Parking will be problematic - so walking, carpooling, and biking will make it easier for you to get into the school in time to read with your child.

Accompany your child to their classroom and read with them there.  For any Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, and 3 students, you can choose to bring a flashlight and read your book in the dark gym.  Students must be accompanied by an adult for this opportunity.  Students must check in with their teacher for attendance before going to the gym with their family member.

While there will be books in the classroom to share, you might want to bring a favourite book from home.

If you are unable to attend, some of our older students will be available to read with some of our younger students as we are all part of the KELSET family.
