Earthquake Drill - ShakeOutBC Event
All BC schools are required to participate in at least two earthquake drills a year. Our staff and students regularly practice how to respond in the event of this type of emergency. On October 19 at 10:19am, we will practice drop, cover, and hold-on during the earthquake drill.
This year, our school has been selected to participate in the ShakeOutBC Media event on October 19. The media will be filming welcomed guests as they speak about the importance of emergency-preparedness. Additionally, Ms. MacAloney’s class will be filmed by the news media as they practice drop, cover, and hold-on during our school-wide earthquake drill.
