ḰELSET Students and staff marked the National day for Truth and Reconciliation by wearing orange shirts on September 29.  Orange Shirt Day is a commemorative day intended to raise awareness of the individual, family, and community intergenerational impacts of residential schools.  Through classroom activities and a whole-school assembly at ḰELSET, students learned about Indigenous history, reconciliation, and Indigenous leaders.
